Dreams

"A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work." Colin Powell

So many times I think we are lured by the 'easy, magic' button of the Internet. Just join and you will make money...

It's free so there is nothing to lose...

We do ALL the work for you...

and the list of promises and hype goes on.

There is no magic or easy button when it comes to business. In the online world it may not take a lot of sweat but it does take Time, Determination and Hard Work to build a business.

And it takes consistent and persistent effort to build the relationships and the team to finally achieve the success one may desire.

Don't give up on your dream.

Need some help? Join Team Atlantis and start building your business today. We will help you on your journey if you will give it some time and determination.

Advertising

“Doing business without advertising is like winking at a girl in the dark. You know what you are doing but nobody else does.”
Steuart Henderson Britt Marketing Management and Administrative Action

If you are in any kind of business you need to advertise and you need to have a plan for that advertising. You can't place one ad today and expect a hundred sales tomorrow.

In fact just the opposite may be true - you need a hundred ads today for one sale tomorrow. We need to see an ad at least 7 times before we are even interested in it. (At least for most people).

There are multiple ad resources available in the online world. Many are free but I challenge you to think outside the box and consider the fact that online advertising is a multi-billion dollar business.

So why not earn from advertising in addition to your main program. It is one thing that will always be needed. The type of advertising and the format may change but there will always be a need so long as people are promoting.

Make a plan to promote your business on a daily basis or even 5 days a week. Treat your business like a business. If you have a J.O.B. most likely you can't decide to give it a shot today and then again next week. You go to it on a regular schedule and you do the tasks that are required.

YOUR Business is no different.

I use lots of different resources but my favorites are listed here.

Relationship

"All lasting business is built on friendship." Alfred A. Montapert

Network marketing, MLM, sales - it doesn't matter what you call it. It is a relationship business. And it's even better when those relationships become friendships.

I have 'met' and developed friendships with people all over the world as a result of my Internet business(es). Some of these have been lasting while otheres have been short lived. But never the less they have been friendships at that moment in time.

One of the things I try to do when I have a new subscriber, sign up or other interested party is to make a personal contact - either through email, email instant messenger or Skype. Some will respond while others won't. It's just part of the online experience.

I encourage you to try to make that connection and build a friendship with your team rather than just looking for the next signup and money in pocket.

One of my goals is to do some traveling when life permits and meet in person some of these friends.

Retirement

"Retirement, a time to do what you want to do, when you want to do it, where you want to do it, and, how you want to do it." Catherine Pulsifer

Have you really thought about your own retirement and the funds that you will need to be able to do what you want to do, where you want to do it and how you want to do it?

Just for the fun of it I played with a couple of different retirement calculators that I found online.

Scared the you know what out of me.

WHY? In order to retire at my current income and be in retirement for 20 years I need to start investing over $25,000 annually at 7% interest. And that DOES NOT account for any kind of inflation. The way prices are increasing I might be able to buy a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk each month when I retire.

I'm not even going to make you search. Here are two of the calculators I used - Bloomberg and Bankrate. And no I don't earn any credits or pennies for sharing those links. So go ahead and put in your own info and see where you stand.

I was already building a business online (a couple in fact) when I decided to do this research. And I like the potential with my business over the need to invest that kind of money. My total business cost is around $100/month ($1200 per year). A whole lot less than $25k.

It may take me a few years and some work to reach a comfortable monthly income but that is a better option in my opinion than retiring with virtually nothing.

If your calculations are as scary as mine and you are ready to start and work your business then get started today.

Just for a little more fun...

If you start at age 25 - invest $1200 per year - at 7% you will have about $239,500 at age 65. If you plan to live 20 years after retirement you will have about $12,000 a year income. Do the math for the monthly! Not very good.

If you start at age 35 - you will have about $5700 per year income.

Age 45 - $2400 per year.

Age 55 - $830 per year.

I think I know where I'd rather put my $100 per month. What about you?

Need a little more...

Let's say you want to have 1 million in your retirement account at age 65. We'll use the same 7% with no adjustments for inflation or cost of living.

Starting at age 25 you need to invest a little over $5k per year.

Age 35 that amount increases to about $10,500.

Age 45 $24,400

Age 55 $72,000 plus

Age 64 - you would need to put 1 million into your account in order to retire the next year.

Do I have your attention?

Will you really be ready to retire. Join for less than $20/month today and let me help you.

Lessons

"It's fine to celebrate success but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure." Bill Gates

If your first attempts at an online business are not successful then learn from them. Pick up the pieces and move forward. Don't give up.

How often do we need to attempt something before we become successful. For most of us it is more than once. Think about it:
  • when you learned to swim were you good the first time...
  • was basketball second nature or did it take a few tries...
  • how about your new job? Did you get everything right the first day...
  • even learning to read took a few months or years...
So why then do we expect immediate riches when we start looking at online business? It is because we see the bling, the glitz, the empty promises that lure us to believe that we only need to join and success is ours for the taking.

Well the only thing that is being taken is your money and your time. Learn from those who have been down the road. It takes time, energy, consistent advertising, and yes, some money. It can and will happen but not if you bounce from one program to the next.

You've got to get focused on one or two programs. Build those to success and then add to your business portfolio.

If you have just $18 per month, a desire for success, a willingness to put in 12-24 months to build your business and can commit to doing just a few simple steps each day then check out our team build.

"Effort only fully releases its reward after a person refuses to quit."
Napoleon Hill

The words above truly describe my Internet Business Journey. I have tried many programs, some good, some bad but all with learning experiences. Like many I have lost money in the Internet Money Pit and I have earned a bit here and there.

Some of the lessons learned:
  • if it sounds too good to be true - run away fast.
  • is the admin reputable - do a little searching?
  • is there a viable, useable product or service?
  • how long has the program been online?
Oh, there are plenty more but I encourage you to take a look at your own experience if you've been online for a while - what are the lessons you have learned.

If you are just starting out then learn from the experience of others. Ask questions before taking the hype at face value. More decision making info next time.

But for now if you want to learn more about a team build that changed my Internet Business then click below.
